The Los Angeles County Museum is one of the most highly regarded art museums in the USA. The Los Angeles County Museum (LACMA) includes works from Monet and Rembrandt. LACMA is close to attracting a million visitors every year.

The LACMA consists of a seven-building complex over twenty acre site in the heart of Los Angeles. It is situated approximately halfway between the ocean and downtown. The campus is currently undergoing a ten-year expansion and renovation program. The first phase of the project opened in early 2008, introducing an open-air pavilion called the BP Grand Entrance as well as the Broad Contemporary Art Museum or BCAM. BCAM's featured artists include Richard Serra, Barbara Kruger, John Baldessari, Ed Ruscha, Cindy Sherman, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Damien Hirst, Chris Burden, Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns.
