Downtown's many sights and attractions, including Chinatown, Bunker Hill, Olvera Street, are all mecas for locals and visitors alike. Added to that the designer bargain shopping at the Garment District, LA LIVE! and the L.A. Lakers and you have smorgasboard of delights that any city would be proud. Oddly perhaps, given LA's reputation of Nobody Walks in LA, one of the best ways to see and experience Downtown's sights and attractions is on foot.

Jewelry District

Downtown Los Angeles boasts the second largest Jewelry District in the world with over 5,000 wholesale and retail jewelry shops in the 30 or so multi-story buildings throughout the district.

Toy District

The Toy District is a 14-block wholesale/retail area on the eastside of Downtown Los Angeles with much more than toys.

Night Life

Downtown has arguably the hippest and hottest clubs in Los Angeles. Broadway Bar, Seven Grand, Cole's, Golden Gopher, The Standard are all top notch and attract a good crowd. The Redwood is a great local bar with a pirate theme, and featured in "500 Days of Summer" as the karaoke bar.

Farmers Market and The Grove is an outdoor shopping and eating venue with some interesting shopping options. It is a big hit with the locals generating a wonderful vibe and great atmosphere.

The Grove

With a full belly it is time for some serious work-out of your charge and credit card. The Grove is a massive 575,000 square foot Vega style retail complex. The Grove derives its architectual style from a smorgsaborg of influences from Art Deco to Italian Renaisaance.
